The
Challenge
The Challenge
Even though the census
report shows that Christians are far more than any other religions in
Ghana, it has been become a common saying that Ghana is one of the most
corrupt countries in the world, and that our faith is not translated
into its practical equivalent. Many villages have not been affected yet.
Even areas at the peripheral of the capital city woefully lack churches.
Some areas are difficult to reach and a very expensive venture in view
of the low level of education, lack of social amenities, and employment
prevailing there. Most churches cannot afford to do any meaningful and
sustainable ministry there. The challenge is; should they be left
unattended to and swallowed up by idol worship, fetishism and the
occults and go to hell? In some parts of the villages Islam is rising
strongly, and they are building mosques and granting capital for small
scale businesses in order to woo the masses to their religion. What is
the church doing?
